The Fairmont managed Mount Kenya Safari Club, is a luxurious 120 room hotel set on 100 acres of land at the foot of Mount Kenya.
The award-winning iconic five-star hotel with a rich history, is uniquely set within a conservancy, surrounded by nature and wild animals; offering luxurious comfort, relaxation and adventure.
JCG is committed to environmental conservation and management and supports the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy. The conservancy’s main objective, in partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service, is to breed genetically diverse and healthy mountain bongo herds for reintegration into their natural habitats within the Mount Kenya forest, which is a protected United Nations world heritage site.
Community education forms an integral part of the conservancy. Over 10,000 youth visit the facilities yearly; a first wildlife encounter for many: resulting in a passion for conservation.
The conservancy also runs an animal orphanage that provides shelter and professional care for orphaned, injured and abandoned animals.
