We are an African success story, we have a 30-year track record of growth and success across Africa and Europe with operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Mauritius, South Sudan, Tanzania, the United Kingdom and Zambia among others.
Key investments include a 105MW power plant, a 35,000 sq metres mall, a 120-room luxury resort, a 1,200-acre game ranch and a number of upcoming commercial and real estate projects in progress.

Humphrey began his entrepreneurial career in the early 1980s after working with the Central Bank of Kenya.
His initial ventures included Nairobi’s famous Green Corner restaurant, which is quoted on President Obama's list of most visited sites in Nairobi, and the Twigs Restaurant and Cactus Bar.
He went on to establish and grow other businesses over the last three and a half decades, including many of those that constitute JCG today. A believer in the potential of the African continent, he is credited with creating some of the most successful businesses in Africa within the Power, Hospitality, Real Estate and Horticulture sectors.
Humphrey strives to ensure that the commercial success of his companies has a positive impact on the communities in which they operate. The companies undertake various projects to support education, health, development and environmental conservation causes in their localities.
Outside of his businesses, he is passionate about innovative sustainable agriculture and, through his companies, he supports agribusiness projects and provides market linkages to rural farmers in Kenya.
Humphrey is a strong believer of localized energy solutions including off-grid power solutions. An advocate of wildlife conservation, he supports the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy whose flagship project is the rehabilitation of the endangered Mountain Bongo antelope.
A member of the Group Executive Committee, Hellen has over 25 years’ experience in HR management and organizational development.
Previously she worked with Kenya’s Chase Bank as Director of Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development.
She also worked at K Rep Bank as the General Manager for HR, and IPS Group as Group HR Manager.
Hellen holds an MBA (Human Resources) from Moi University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Nairobi University.
A member of the Board, Margaret is an innovative C-suite leader, offering strategic management solutions to the Board and Management teams of the Group to not only maximize return on investment to shareholders, but to also achieve excellence in corporate governance.
She has over 30 years experience in corporate governance, marketing, human resources and general management.
Margaret began her working career with the East African Breweries Ltd (EABL) on completion of her graduate studies in 1980. In EABL she started in the PR and Marketing department before making a career shift to the HR department. After several years working through the HR ranks in EABL, she joined International Computers Ltd (ICL) as Head of HR, Quality and Communications. She steered the company to achieve ISO certification in 1993. ICL was the second Company in Kenya to achieve this accreditation.
In 1998 Margaret ventured into private practice consulting in the fields of Human Resources and Strategic Management.
Margaret initially joined the JCG in 2000 to provide HR and strategic management consulting services. She subsequently joined the Group on a more formal capacity in 2002.
She has since held the following positions in the Group: Group HR and Corporate Affairs Manager, Group Corporate Affairs Director, Group Executive Director – Operations and currently, Group Managing Director since 2015.
Margaret who graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Delhi University in 1980, has over the years attained several other professional certifications in the fields of Marketing, HR, Communications and General Management.
She is passionate about wildlife conservation and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, whose flagship project is the rehabilitation of the endangered Mountain Bongo antelope.
Margaret, an alumni of Alliance Girls High School, is also a mentor to many young professionals and managers.
A member of the Group Executive Committee, Rikin has over a decade of experience in Africa in the Agriculture, Petroleum, Power and Real Estate.
He was Head of the Finance Division for East and Southern Africa at Olam International (a Singapore based listed multinational) and subsequently for ETG Group as Group Deputy CFO and Executive Committee member overseeing Treasury, Investor Relations and Corporate Finance functions.
He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI, India and a Chartered Management Accountant (CMA) from CIMA Institute, London.
A member of the Executive Committee, Anggelos has over 25 years’ experience in the areas of Investments, Financing and Management Advisory Services. He previously worked at Qatar Airways where he was the Head of Treasury Operations & Transformation.
He has also worked as Head of Treasury for Titan Cement Company, a multinational cement producer, where he was instrumental for issuing one of the largest corporate syndicated facilities in Greece (EUR 800 million). Prior to joining the corporate sector, Anggelos worked for major global financial institutions in structured finance and venture capital. These include Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and Calyon among others.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Arizona State University (with a minor in Aerospace Engineering) and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
